Mahendra Vaidh is a seasoned professional with a distinguished career in the edible oil, fats, and proteins industry. Currently, he serves as the Managing Director of West African Soy Industries Ltd., a subsidiary of the Tropical General Investments (TGI) Group, based in Lagos, Nigeria. Since joining TGI Group over four years ago, Mahendra has made significant strides, initially as the Chief Operating Officer and subsequently taking the helm as Managing Director in April 2021.

His expertise lies in setting up clear objectives, designing and streamlining business processes, and executing strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Under his leadership at TGI Group, he has been instrumental in driving the business operations of edible oils, fats, and proteins.

Before his tenure at TGI Group, Mahendra was associated with Ruchi Soya for nearly 14 years. His last role there was as Vice President - Business Head, where he was stationed in Gurgaon, India. He played a pivotal role in overseeing the edible oil refinery and solvent plant business operations in North India. Additionally, he headed mustard crushing operations and managed third-party operations for notable clients like Patanjali and Jivo.

Mahendra is an alumnus of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and is recognized for his effective leadership skills. With his vast experience and strategic vision, he continues to make significant contributions to the industry, particularly in the West African region.
