Sanjeev Asthana is a recognized leader with over three decades of experience across Food, Agribusiness, FMCG and Retail. He has been part of global businesses and managed to grow them to substantial scale.

Currently, he is CEO of Patanjali Foods Limited, where he has led the successful turnaround of the company out of the bankruptcy phase. Previously, he has held senior management positions at large corporates including Cargill India as Director for their grain and oilseed business, Reliance Retail as President and Chief Executive, and ITC Global Holdings among others.

Mr. Asthana has also served as an independent director on the boards of Reliance Group Companies, IndusInd Bank, NCDEX eMarkets (NeML), and NABARD Consultancy Services (NABCONS).

On the policy front, he has worked closely at policy level with some of the key Government and International Institutions like GAIN, UNICEF, World Bank, IFC, ADB etc. He has been on national committee of major trade bodies like CII, FICCI, and ASSOCHAM. He served as key member of various Government of India established committees, including Chairman taskforce of Planning Commission for 12^th five-year plan. He is also a Non-Resident Fellow at leading US think tank - Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
